Professionally managed events are rapidly becoming an essential activity for organizations and individuals alike. The broad range of approaches, methods and tools for event management, is forcing an imperative to qualify individuals who can meet the growing demand for professional event managers. To that end, IIEM has recognized the need for a comprehensive education-based certification program, designed within a well-rounded body of knowledge.

IIEM’s Master's Certificate in Event Management is the only Certificate Program authorized to support the Certified Event Management Professional (CEMP) credentials. The Master's Certificate Program  provides the knowledge and skills necessary for event managers to perform their job duties with the highest levels of professionalism and competency. The CEMP credential is meant for both early stage and experienced professionals alike. This certification assists hiring managers in qualifying individuals for event management responsibilities, on a part-time or full time basis.

The CEMP designation indicates a high degree of achievement, as measured against the requirements set forth in the CEMP Certification. These credentials signify academic achievement earned through education and performance, and testifies a commitment to the profession.

Satisfactory completion of the Master's Certificate Program results in awarding of the Certified Event Management Professional (CEMP) credentials. Upon the candidate’s acceptance of the terms of the Candidate Certification Agreement, IIEM grants the candidate a non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal right to use the CEMP certification and logo on the candidate’s resume, business cards, marketing collateral, letterhead and website.
