Job Description:

- WMHS Event Auditorium Manager

(outside of school hours)

- The WMHS Event Auditorium Manager shall be an employee member of the school staff designated by the Superintendent of Schools.  The WMHS Event Auditorium Manager is responsible for assisting the WMHS Auditorium AV Director with the booking of events in the WMHS Auditorium outside of school hours, as well as scheduling and supervision of students on the WMHS Student Tech Team.  The WMHS Event Auditorium Manager will collaborate with the Auditorium AV Director to ensure proper use of equipment as well as proper training of all staff.

Position: WMHS Event Auditorium manager - (outside of school hours)

Event Types - outside of school hours

  • Woburn Public Schools evening school events - i.e., Honor Society Inductions and Award Ceremonies (Senior nights, Scholarship nights, guest speakers)

  • City of Woburn - Mayor events, political, school committee, etc

  • Community groups - Woburn Historical Society, etc.

Responsibility:

  • Manage the bookings for the auditorium; 
  • Coordinate with appropriate staff;

  • Check calendar weekly for events at night;

  • Contact groups that book auditorium about tech needs for events;

  • Schedule rehearsals or walk throughs if needed;

  • Coordinate with WMHS Auditorium AV Director about theatre rehearsals & schedules,etc;

  • Schedule, confirm, and oversee students to run the tech booth; 

  • Arrange/Ensure students have been trained by AV Director

  • Track student work schedule which includes creating time sheets, submitting, etc.

  • Be the back-up person in the booth for no-shows/call-outs

  • Be on sitel to troubleshoot any situations that occur during event

  • Attend events to make sure they are running smoothly

  • Communicate costs for tech needs to the appropriate people (prior to the event)

  • Report any tech/equipment issues to WMHS Auditorium AV Director.

Compensation:

  • $6000 for the school calendar year including school vacations (but excluding July and August)
